Anushka Sharma took one day to prepare for her test on screen and didn't want to make an impromptu version. Later on she was signed to three films under Yash Raj Films banner. She was the young wife of a man who was older in the movie (the the same role Shah Rukh Khan played). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka appeared in the 2010 film "Badmash Company" with Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang, Vir Das. The movie got mixed reviews. Anushka appeared as the role of a Punjabi girl from the middle class in a movie named 'Band Baaja Baraat. The film featured her alongside Ranveer. This movie was well received and was later a sleeper. Anushka was able to complete her three-film contract with Yash Raj Films.
