Kristin Fisher joined CNN in July 2021 as the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. She covers everything, from NASA, Space Force, Space Force and commercial space companies to the advent of space tourism. Being the daughter and the mother of two NASA astronauts Kristin grew up in the industry of space. She spent the last five years covering the Biden and Trump Space Policy of the Administration as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. Over the course of her tenure, she reported on the 2020 presidential campaign, the impeachment trial and two attempts to prevent the corona virus pandemic, and two other administrations' initiatives. She also went on trips with President Trump and Vice President Trump frequently. This included a secret trip to Afghanistan. Before becoming a part of the company in, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up in local TV news stations including Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Kristin utilized her knowledge in the field to create Field Mouse Films. The firm specialized in making documentary films and was a favorite of corporate clients such as Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism at Boston University. Her husband and three year-old daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
